The Price of Fame: Justin Bieber and the Loss of Humanity
Apr 29, 2025
Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about people - how they can either bring positive energy into your life or completely drain it.
I used to believe that most people were inherently good. I thought the way someone acted was just a reflection of what they’d been through - their experiences, their traumas, their upbringing. And I guess I still believe that to an extent. A lot of people are misunderstood, and the way they come across isn’t always a true reflection of who they are deep down.
But the more of life I experience, the more I realise: not everyone has good intentions. Not everyone is just “misunderstood.” Some people’s actions are downright disgusting - and there’s no way to sugarcoat it or excuse it.
There are those who cause real harm, exploit others, and think it’s acceptable to cross boundaries that should never be breached. Just take a look at what's going on with Justin Bieber right now.
The Paparazzi Problem: Justin Bieber and the Price of Fame
I’m sure you’ve all seen the recent headlines and stories about Justin Bieber. There’s an endless stream of content about him, with paparazzi following his every move.
Some might say, “That’s just the price of fame,” but, come on, he never asked for this.
And yet, there are people who think it’s perfectly fine to harass him, to pick apart his private life, and to chase him around like he’s some kind of animal.
What’s even worse? It’s grown adults who are behind this.
It’s disgusting. Seriously.
No amount of success, fame, or talent should strip anyone of basic human decency.
Fame Shouldn’t Mean Losing Your Humanity
We’ve all heard the phrase, “That’s what they signed up for.” But did they really? Did Justin Bieber, at 15 years old, know the dark side of fame? Did he know how truly awful people could be, simply because he was gifted and famous? Of course not.
Being talented or well-known should never mean giving up your right to privacy, dignity, or peace. Yet, that's exactly what happens to so many celebrities. The relentless hounding, the invasive cameras, the utter disregard for their mental health - it’s messed up.
What’s worse, it’s dehumanising. Celebrities are treated not as people but as products - cash grabs, headlines to exploit. It’s wrong. And as we've seen time and time again, its dangerous.
A Call for Change
It’s 2025, and we’re still treating celebrities like public property. We’ve all heard the heartbreaking stories of stars who’ve suffered from relentless harassment, with some even losing their lives because of it. And yet, it’s still happening. From where I stand, it seems like there’s nothing in place to protect them. This constant invasion of their privacy continues unchecked, no matter how clearly damaging it is.
Fame is not permission to dehumanise. Fame is not an excuse for cruelty.
And to those hiding behind screens, writing vile things about celebrities - especially some of the disgusting things said about Justin - you’re pathetic. You take pleasure in tearing others down from behind a keyboard, but why? It’s clear you’re just cowards with unresolved issues. Your life must be so empty if this is how you find satisfaction.
Final Thoughts
Fame doesn’t shield you from cruelty - it magnifies your vulnerability to it.
But cruelty should never be the price of success. We don’t have to accept a world that treats real people as entertainment at the cost of their well-being.
Whether someone is famous or not, their right to live with dignity should never be up for debate. It's on all of us to remember: being in the spotlight doesn’t make you less human - and it sure as hell doesn’t mean you deserve to be hunted.
